I've been reading about how to boost traffic for my blog quite a bit. I've been able to bring up my traffic significantly just from being consistent and actually sticking with a theme this past month. But here is another way that you can boost your blog (besides consistency!) -- guest post for another blogger.
Sigh. I can honestly say that I don't know where to find the time right now. I can also say that I have been trying to get you, dear reader, to do a guest post for me. But what's in it for you? Clearly I haven't been offering enough with just 4,000+ unique visitors each month, 16,000+ pageviews, etc.
So let's spice it up...really make it worth your while and boost both our blogs. Here is what I'm offering if you write a quality, unique, non-advertorial guest post for me (of course, you can link back to it...I highly encourage it).
1. I'll write a post/interview of you and your blog, etsy store, etc. (you do not have to be a blogger to take advantage of this) with a link back to your blog, store, etc.
2. I will tweet to my followers, post on facebook, and add your post to appropriate linkies, and pin your pretty pics.
3. I will add you to my Rafflecopter form for the giveaways that I host that week (minimum of two -- they run for two weeks). You will get to choose one social media for this (facebook, twitter, gfc, google+, etc.).
4. If you write a post for me monthly, minimum two months in a row, I will add you to my soon to come authors page.
I'm looking for posts in the following categories: Beauty, DIY, Fashion, Food/Recipes, Health/Fitness, Home Decor, and Child Rearing. No more than 1,500 words and pictures are necessary! After all...we have to pin it!
Hear what others are saying:
Veronica at Cherry Walls said "Thanks again for this opportunity to promote my shop on your blog. We've received 168 unique visitors from your blog and many Facebook fans!" (note: visiting her shop was not a requirement for this giveaway, people went because they wanted to).
Ashok at Bennu said "Excellent! You generated a lot of activity around the contest and we're really happy with the results. You've got a great community."
Amy at Jooniebeads said "I just look the other day and your blog has produced more traffic to my site than anything else I've done."
My hope is that having a small bio at that end of the post, with a link back to your blog/shop, a unique post/interview, and adding you to my Rafflecopter form will get you the response you're looking for. Plus my blog has been growing consistently each week. This month I have 46.4% returning visitors and 59.36% new visitors.
