Nowhere can I find that the mirror is magnifying but it sure looks like it. Or maybe it's because you can hold it close (although I don't think so) but you can get a real good look at yourself whether you want to or not with this mirror. This makes it great for exfoliating, makeup removal, hair removal. You know...for all your primping needs.
